Summary

If Good and Evil can’t find a way to work together, neither side will survive。

With every end comes a new beginning in the fourth installment of Soman Chainani’s New York Times bestselling School for Good and Evil series, Quests for Glory

Join Sophie, Agatha, Tedros, and the other students as they begin a new era in the Endless Woods—The Camelot Years—where Evers and Nevers alike must move beyond the bounds of school and into the biggest, boldest adventures of their lives。

The students at the School for Good and Evil thought they had found their final Ever After when they vanquished the malevolent School Master。 Now, on their required fourth-year quests, the students face obstacles both dangerous and unpredictable, and the stakes are high: success brings eternal adoration, and failure means obscurity forever。

For their quests, Agatha and Tedros are trying to return Camelot to its former splendor as queen and king。 For her quest, Dean Sophie seeks to mold Evil in her own image。 But soon they all feel themselves growing more isolated and alone。

When their classmates’ quests plunge into chaos, however, someone must lead the charge to save them。。。

Best one of the series so farI couldn't stop reading。 I love how he incorporates all of the great fairy tale characters into these books。 Looking forward to book 5! DNF’d at around 25%。 Agatha and Tedros were acting like two completely different characters, not in a good way, and the pacing was soooo slow。 No thanks, should’ve been left as a trilogy, or actually, as a stand-alone of the first book。

Good, I liked how as a sequel trilogy it didn't feel like the author made it solely because of a contract, but it had a cool overall idea and plot。 Looking forward to the next one, but having the climax at the halfway point I could already predict the end and was just waiting for the reveal。 Fun, but a tad long。 Good, I liked how as a sequel trilogy it didn't feel like the author made it solely because of a contract, but it had a cool overall idea and plot。 Looking forward to the next one, but having the climax at the halfway point I could already predict the end and was just waiting for the reveal。 Fun, but a tad long。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This series is one of those series that gets better as the series goes on。 I thought the first one was good, however I was a bit confused with the ending where Agatha kissed Sophie? Still not sure how that had to do with the plot? The second book seemed pretty petty to me, and that turned out to be my least favorite book in the series。 My favorite was book 5。

What in the ever-loving hell is this book。It was so well-advertised- the trailer was stunning, the cover art is beautiful, etc。But the story became so cliché in this book。It went from "action! romance! betrayal!" to "haha stereotypical 'good vs evil' trope go brrr。"Oh, but it gets worse。 This story wants to be female-empowering and shit, but it just goes back to the basic princess-needs-big-strong-man-to-save-her trope。This book is just- cliché city。 What in the ever-loving hell is this book。It was so well-advertised- the trailer was stunning, the cover art is beautiful, etc。But the story became so cliché in this book。It went from "action! romance! betrayal!" to "haha stereotypical 'good vs evil' trope go brrr。"Oh, but it gets worse。 This story wants to be female-empowering and shit, but it just goes back to the basic princess-needs-big-strong-man-to-save-her trope。This book is just- cliché city。 。。。more

I really have high hopes in this book。 It's not that bad like the first three books, But Tedros and Agatha is really a complete mess。 The author probably don't know what love is。 The way he describe their relationship is just worse。 Their relationship almost sounded toxic。 To me, the plot is just too obvious。 And their school year is just complicated I really have high hopes in this book。 It's not that bad like the first three books, But Tedros and Agatha is really a complete mess。 The author probably don't know what love is。 The way he describe their relationship is just worse。 Their relationship almost sounded toxic。 To me, the plot is just too obvious。 And their school year is just complicated 。。。more

I skipped over finishing reading The Last Ever After。 Honestly it was pretty easy to see everything I missed - Rafal was dead and apparently Hort saw a prediction with a wish fish that he would marry Sophie。 The Rafal thing was obvious。 What was surprising though was how much Tedros absolutely hated Sophie。 In A World Without Princes, Tedros and Sophie, while she was Filip, had become best friends and at the beginning of the Last Ever After Teddy and Agatha were trying to get back to Sophie sinc I skipped over finishing reading The Last Ever After。 Honestly it was pretty easy to see everything I missed - Rafal was dead and apparently Hort saw a prediction with a wish fish that he would marry Sophie。 The Rafal thing was obvious。 What was surprising though was how much Tedros absolutely hated Sophie。 In A World Without Princes, Tedros and Sophie, while she was Filip, had become best friends and at the beginning of the Last Ever After Teddy and Agatha were trying to get back to Sophie since they both needed her。 Well apparently not and Tedros has gone back to just hating Sophie's guts。 Can't say I really blame him but I kind of do。 I guess I just don't really like his personality to begin with。So the theme of this book was truth vs。 lies。 It was focused on as much as good vs。 evil was in The School for Good and Evil and boys vs。 girls in A World Without Princes, or young vs。 old in the Last Ever After。 I kind of liked this more laid back approach and I think it went better with the story of the Camelot years。Now I didn't particularly care for the Camelot origin backstory of the Snake, Lion, and Eagle。 I mean its fine but its such a vital part of the plot of who is the real Snake and Lion and whatever that it became a touch bit too much and rubbed on my nerves just a bit。I also thought the relationships of this book were a bit rushed。 I really liked seeing Hort's interactions with Nicola and I thought they were cute but they were a bit rushed。 It was one scene of Hort and Nicola having a conversation and then boom! they were dating。 Same thing with Sophie and Rhian。 There relationship was way too rushed。 It is in vein with Sophie's personalities for her to go head first into relationships with hot guys but I would have liked like just one more conversation between them before they started dating。 And then when Rhian turned out to be evil at the end I mean I guess I always kind of expected it。 He seemed like a good guy sure but always a bit fishy so I think that "plot twist" would have been more impactful if we truly got to know Rhian more and got more connected to him being a good character。I like the idea of Tedros needing to get used to being king and trust me he still has sooo much room for character growth and I did like this book it just fell a bit flat for me even if I did have fun reading it。 。。。more

as enjoyable as this series is, it seems that the longer I continue reading, the more flaws I start noticing in the books。 id give massive credit to the author for making this series addictingly fun as lighthearted but when the series follows 17-year-olds who are becoming kings or queens or deans or knights or WHATEVER during an apparently massive war brewing in their world, lighthearted is probably not what the author was hoping for when it comes to descriptive buzzwords of the book。 I've been as enjoyable as this series is, it seems that the longer I continue reading, the more flaws I start noticing in the books。 id give massive credit to the author for making this series addictingly fun as lighthearted but when the series follows 17-year-olds who are becoming kings or queens or deans or knights or WHATEVER during an apparently massive war brewing in their world, lighthearted is probably not what the author was hoping for when it comes to descriptive buzzwords of the book。 I've been meaning to talk in depth about the problems I had with series after reading each respective book but as I am always so stunned and shocked by the ending of the book that all i can think is "AAAAAAHHHH" i tend to not have the capability needed to do so when the book is still fresh on my mind。 thankfully (cough not really,) i saw the big revalation that was supposed to shock me into a different dimension coming from MILES away。 so I'm happy (cough again, not really) to say that i can happily shit on this book and the series now that i am not shocked into speechlessness while it is still fresh on my mind。 so。 number 1。 the books are made to have this massive cliffhanger that makes you finish off on a high and immediately wish to continue on with the series。 guess what。 until this book, that has worked every time without fail。 but when the shock wears off you're sorta left thinking。。。 well。。 was it actually that good? number 2。 it gets pretty repetitive。 how did i see the revalation coming? because soman has used that same twist multiple times in the books。 the series has a theme of "not everyone/everything is as it seems" sophie may look like a pretty princess but that doesn't stop her from being evil。 people who come rushing in to save your lives doesn't mean they actually don't want to kill you lol。 so when you start seeing a pattern。。。you learn to spot the twist coming。number 3。 this series has some heavily sexist themes。 but you know what? that's not even the worst part。 its how the author makes one of our leading characters (generally a girl) "call out" that sexism and then goes on the next chapter to making everything go back to being sexist。 its almost。。as if。。he puts those "call outs" in。。。just to say。。hey i made them call it out so now the series isn't sexist。。。hmmmm。 and it gets even worse when he tries to throw in a couple of lgbtq+ ships (WITHOUT EXPLICITLY SAYING THEYRE LGBTQ+ MIND YOU) just to combat the VEERRRRYYYY heterosexual relationship ideals of every princess needs a prince, every prince needs a princess etc etc。next thing; the relationships in this series are so fucking weird。 (and i don't just mean romantic, i also mean platonic) these bitches go through so many ups and downs, flip flop between trust and distrust, love and hate, and basically every matching opposite pair of emotions ever。 like??? you'd think after a war and 4 books everyone would know about a neat little thing called COMMUNICATION??? and would have enough shared experience to get through the inevitable bumps in the relationship quickly so they move on but NOOOOOOO。 everynes gotta be stubborn, egos have to be big and fragile and they think ignoring things will just make them go away。 like baby no yall just need therapy like tbfh。。。。anyways。this book just opened my eyes more to the problems with this series。 and as disappointed as i was with it, I'm still hoping and hoping he resolves all of these problems in the last two installations。 。。。more

I was expecting a lot more from this book than it delivered。 I feel like the series should have ended at book 3, and this spinoff series shouldn't have existed。 That thought aside, this book was enjoyable。 Overall。 The characters have changed quite a lot since the last book, some for the better and some for the worse。 I don't even wanna get into all the details about the characters and the plot, because we will be here for a long while if I did that。 Just know that the book felt like a forced c I was expecting a lot more from this book than it delivered。 I feel like the series should have ended at book 3, and this spinoff series shouldn't have existed。 That thought aside, this book was enjoyable。 Overall。 The characters have changed quite a lot since the last book, some for the better and some for the worse。 I don't even wanna get into all the details about the characters and the plot, because we will be here for a long while if I did that。 Just know that the book felt like a forced continuation of an already perfectly written trilogy, the plot was extremely predictable, and the characters that changed for the worse will get on your nerves throughout the book。 The reason I am giving this book 3 stars is because the writing was very fluid, and it didn't feel like the book was almost 600 pages long。 I really enjoyed learning a bit more about Tedros' family history, and the new arc that was introduced was also pretty interesting。 。。。more
